Jon was born and raised in Santa Cruz, Bolivia while Stephanie is from the San Francisco Bay Area. We met in Seattle, WA, where we attended university. Before moving to Guatemala, we had been living in San Francisco where Jon worked as a teacher and subsequently the Children's Director at Radiance Church. Stephanie worked in corporate finance at a variety of companies. We also have three children: Elijah, Joel and Olivia.
